Tempcon’s subsidiary Widriksson Logistik is streamlining its operations as its business area Shyping becomes its own company within the Tempcon Group as of January 1, 2024. The incorporation is part of the continued development of Shyping’s digital TMS platform and other services in areas such as digitization, analysis of logistics processes and streamlining complex logistics.
Shyping addresses a market that is partly different from Widriksson’s other operations due to other customers and other conditions. The purpose of the incorporation is to clarify the former business area’s offer on the market and enable full focus on the development of Shyping’s TMS system and other consultative services that the new company offers to meet the increasing needs of the market.
Marcel Nemer, who is today business area manager at Shyping, will become CEO of the new company. He has worked at Widriksson Logistik as business development manager since 2020 and was involved in starting Shyping as its own business area in 2022.
– The incorporation is a milestone in our investment in the TMS platform and other services for logistics optimization, says Marcel Nemer. By separating Shyping, we can completely focus on the needs and conditions that our customers have, which differ a lot from the ordinary logistics operations in Widriksson Logistik.
Shyping’s focus is to digitize logistics flows and make logistics simpler and more efficient through a combination of logistics expertise and software development. The TMS platform is the core of the business and the company will continuously develop new functions for streamlining logistics processes.
Shyping’s TMS platform is a comprehensive logistics and transportation system with user-friendly features that help customers run an efficient logistics business. Today, Shyping’s TMS platform is a stand-alone SaaS product with applications that have changed the rules of the logistics game through digitization. The TMS platform was previously called WDDP.
– That Shyping will now become a separate company within the Tempcon Group will also strengthen the Group’s offer and facilitate the sale of digitized services within the entire Group, says Marcel Nemer.
