EA Åkeri takes a major step towards a greener future with new gas-powered trucks

Tempcon Group’s subsidiary, EA Åkeri, has today received the first of 12 new gas-powered trucks of the Volvo FH Aero model. This is an important step in the company’s commitment to sustainable transport and part of their efforts to reduce their climate impact.

The new vehicles, which run on liquefied biogas (LBG), will significantly reduce carbon emissions. LBG is a renewable fuel produced from organic waste and can reduce carbon emissions by up to 100%.

Thanks to an expanded partnership with Arla Foods AB, EA Åkeri is now able to invest in these modern, environmentally friendly trucks. Arla’s high demands for sustainability and quality have driven EA Åkeri to find effective solutions to reduce their climate footprint.

Advantages of the new gas vehicles

These gas-powered vehicles are designed for long-distance transport and offer several advantages:

● Low climate impact fuel option: LBG, which can be produced from organic waste, reduces carbon emissions by up to 100%.
● Aerodynamic design: The streamlined cab saves energy and reduces fuel consumption.
● Efficient engine: With upgraded technology and a new gearbox, these gas engines are up to 4% more fuel-efficient.

In addition, the gas tank is 10% larger than before, allowing for longer driving distances and even more efficient transport.
