Seven Tempcon companies sponsor child traffic safety

Traffic safety is one of our key issues at Tempcon Group. We see it as a matter of course to take responsibility for the safety of both our employees and fellow road users, and this naturally includes children’s traffic safety as well. In an initiative that underscores our commitment to traffic safety issues, seven of Tempcon Group’s subsidiaries have chosen to sponsor Trafikkalendern (the Traffic Calendar), a project aimed at raising awareness of traffic safety issues among children and young people.

The seven Tempcon companies sponsoring Trafikkalendern – PL Fraktservice, Abbekås Transport och Logistik, Syd Frys, Tommy Nordbergh Åkeri, Klimat-Transport, Tempcon Norrland and Foodcargo – contribute to providing Swedish pupils with the best conditions to learn about traffic safety in an engaging and fun way.

Sweden’s Largest Educational Material on Traffic Safety

Trafikkalendern is Sweden’s largest teaching tool about traffic safety for children and for 33 years has inspired schools to work with traffic issues as part of learning for sustainable development. The educational material highlights all aspects of traffic and includes both printed and digital material. Activities are arranged every month where school classes can participate and win great prizes.

Engagement Yields Results

“Thanks to the commitment from companies such as the seven within Tempcon Group, we are able to offer Trafikkalendern’s materials at no cost to all Sweden’s pupils and teachers from kindergarten to Year 6,” says Camilla Laine, project manager at Trafikkalendern. “This enables schools to provide their pupils with a solid education in traffic safety, which in turn contributes to a safer traffic environment for everyone.”

Information on Traffic Safety

As sponsors, we contribute not only to financing the release of Trafikkalendern’s materials but also engage in spreading information about children’s vulnerability in traffic among employees and fellow road users. It is an important part of our responsibility to raise awareness about traffic safety issues
