Tempcon’s subsidiary EA Åkeri AB, headquartered in Skara, receives increased trust from Arla Foods AB for the distribution of dairy products. The new agreement, which extends over five years, means that EA Åkeri expands its distribution of dairy products by 50 percent.
According to the new agreement, EA Åkeri will be responsible for the transport of dairy products between Arla’s dairies in Falkenberg, Götene, Jönköping, Linköping, Stockholm and Sundsvall. In addition, they will handle the deliveries from the dairies to various food wholesalers. This means that EA Åkeri takes responsibility for all fully chartered lines and detours for Arla.
EA Åkeri has handled dairy products for Arla since 2016 and has gradually expanded the assignment. With the new procurement, the assignment grows by a further 50 percent, which means that approximately 30 vehicles will be used to transport the dairy products.
– That Arla chooses to expand its cooperation with us is proof that we have delivered a high-quality service in recent years, says Stefan Ohlmander, CEO of EA Åkeri. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Arla and to helping them achieve their goals.
The agreement places high demands on an unbroken cold chain, punctuality and durability. EA Åkeri already runs all transport with fossil-free fuels and in 2024 the introduction of gas vehicles is planned to further reduce the climate impact.
– We are very satisfied with the logistics solution we have had with EA Åkeri in recent years, says Mikael Schultz, transport and warehouse director at Arla Foods. EA Åkeri has helped us continuously optimize our transports for increased efficiency and the highest possible degree of filling. We are happy to be able to continue our collaboration with EA Åkeri and that they will play an important role in our future logistics.
The start of the assignment was at the beginning of May and the agreement is valid for five years.
